The Payroll IPS Coordinator II is responsible for ensuring compliant and timely payroll processing for employees in states with immediate pay requirements, including reconciling payroll variances and training new team members.


Responsibilities

  • Assists with on cycle payroll by identifying and removing terminated hours to be batch processed off cycle.
  • Own the variance reporting process for terminations in Immediate States by comparing hours paid in on cycle batches to actual hours owed submitted
  • Apply and issue waiting time penalties for appropriate checks in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Serve as the SME for Immediate Pay States.
  • Lead trainings efforts for new Immediate Pay State coordinators and provide ongoing support.
  • Process daily People Works queries to identify terminating associates.
  • Ensure timely issuance of termination pay, adjustment pay, or retro pay in accordance with state regulations.
  • Review, validate, and process off-cycle payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Fund off-cycle pay cards and personal debit card funding via the ADP Smart Compliance website.
  • Respond to associate and manager inquiries related to final pay and off cycle payments.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Payroll Supervisor or Payroll Manager.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable payroll regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Support payroll audits and reconciliation efforts as required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, and maintain documentation thereof.

Skills

  • Requires 2 - 4 years of payroll experience.
  • Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality for all associate payroll and personnel records.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and/or mandates.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel Skills and overall Microsoft suite.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
