Job Description

Job Summary

The Warehouse Support Specialist at Baker Distributing CDC plays a vital role with a customer-centric focus and knowledge of warehouse procedures. This individual supports our organization by providing customer service to clients and management.

Essential Duties / Accountabilities

  • Provide customer service support to customers and Baker management
  • Release transfer and sales orders promptly
  • Respond to emails from Service Centers efficiently
  • Maintain and correct transfer and sales orders as needed
  • Batch orders for UPS and LTL to optimize transportation costs
  • Screen transfer orders and coordinate approval with purchasing, then process to warehouse
  • Monitor un-dropped orders, NC status, or pending approval to ensure timely shipping
  • Ensure orders are uploaded to RF devices before cutoff times
  • Handle shipping requirements, including expedited loads
  • Scan receiving documents and file paperwork
  • Communicate with vendors and carriers regarding PO discrepancies such as shortages, overages, or damages
  • Follow up on issues until resolved and document PO notes in Mincron
  • Create and ship vendor returns
  • Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries
  • Assist with ordering office and warehouse supplies
  • Support warehouse activities like receiving, picking, BOL creation, and other duties as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
