Transfer list for Tech I Successor classes: CAD Tech I, Development Services Tech I, Engineering Tech I, Environmental Tech I, GIS Tech I, Materials Testing Tech I, and ROW Agent I.

The purpose of this posting is to gather interest for future opportunities. Please note there may not be an existing vacancy at the time of your submission. An employee permanently appointed to a position in a Tech I, Tech IIor Tech III successor classification may be transferred to a position in any other successor classification at the same level with the provision that they must pass a six(6)-month probation period (12 months for part-time or job share) in the new classification. For the purpose of this provision, the successor classes are as follows:

Tech I successor classes are:

  • CAD Tech I
  • Development Services Tech I
  • Engineering Tech I
  • Environmental Tech I
  • GIS Tech I
  • Materials Testing Tech I
  • ROW Agent I

To Qualify

 

Applicants must meet each of the following qualifications per HRAR 7.01
 
  • Hold regular status in one the classification list above in "The Position"
  • Passed probationary period
Or
 
  • Hold limited duration status in current classification

 

The Recruitment Process

 

A review of your eligibility will be conducted and validated.  If you meet the eligibility requirements you will be placed on the lateral transfer eligible list. Please read the City of Portland Administrative Rule 7.01 for complete information. Additional evaluation may be required prior to final selection.
