AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. This team is diverse, it builds and supports products, applications for AWS sellers, manages large scale infrastructure of 1P and 3P platforms.

The AFX (AWS Field Experience) team, is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented System Development Manager to own software systems, products, and tools to build an exciting new global product.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science and or associated disciplines
3+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
