RV Resort General Manager

Are you an experienced resort or hotel general manager looking to take your talents in a more entrepreneurial direction? We are looking for an RV Resort General Manager who has just the right balance of revenue management, sales skills and a real knack for great customer service. You will oversee and direct the day-to-day operations for one of our largest RV resorts. This is a very guest-services oriented role. You will also have some sales and marketing duties to maximize occupancy. OVERVIEW

As an RV Resort General Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational and continued profitability of the resort and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for guests. You will be in charge of everything from administrative activities, marketing, and leasing, to property maintenance, human resources and guest relations.

JOB DUTIES

Lead department heads to achieve their budget segments to produce monthly, quarterly and annual NOI.
Daily review of revenue streams including RV transient sites, permanent sites, vacation rentals, food and beverage revenue, activities, homes sales and the wellness center.
Ensure guests receive the highest levels of service
Handle and resolve escalated guest complaints, inquiries and issues.
Work with marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the resorts brand.
Ensure customers/guests receive a high level of service.
Oversee team member selection, training, scheduling and development and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
Enforce resort rules and regulations.
Monitor monthly operating budgets and prepare monthly explanation of P&L variances.
Ensure compliance with the federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations.
Oversee capital expenditure improvements.
Other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field, preferred
3 years property/resort management experience, preferred
Previous sales and leasing experience, preferred
General knowledge of maintenance
Solid negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
Basic computer proficiency including email, internet and Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Rent Manager and/or CampSpot, preferred
Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
