This remote position requires an active California Dental License and enrollment as a Denti-Cal provider. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization where your work directly improves access to care for patients across California. As a Remote Dentist, you will conduct virtual oral health assessments, ensure dental assistants follow proper assessment procedures, and empower patients through oral hygiene education. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure high-quality image capture and provide actionable recommendations that patients can take to their primary dentist. Please note that this is not an immediate hire — credentialing takes approximately 6–8 weeks after all required documents, including updated vaccine records, have been submitted. Key Responsibilities Conduct synchronous teledentistry assessments in compliance with Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal guidelines Ensure dental assistants follow the oral health assessment process accurately and consistently Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and recommendations for preventive care Document detailed clinical notes for each patient before moving on to the next Review and confirm that the necessary intraoral images are captured during the visit Maintain a valid Dental License, DEA license, and Liability Insurance Deliver education and care with empathy, professionalism, and clarity Requirements Must be an active Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal Dental) provider Active DEA license Proof of completion of 50 CE credits (required for license renewal) Active Liability Insurance Up-to-date vaccine records (required for credentialing) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a fully remote environment Demonstrated alignment with our core values and commitment to equitable care Ready to help transform oral health access across California?
