Are you a highly motivated, communicative Professional Engineer (PE)? We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and work on all aspects of civil engineering projects, with a focus on water and sewer pipeline design, site and grading design, and collaboration with local agencies.

Position Overview: As a Professional Engineer (PE), you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise across various state and municipal civil projects, primarily in Miami-Dade County. You will work in a dynamic, hybrid work environment, bringing your knowledge and skills to projects related to water/sewer infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the design of state and municipal civil projects with an emphasis on water/sewer pipeline design and site/grading work.
Collaborate with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Prepare feasibility assessments, site inspections, and comprehensive project plans.
Research and provide accurate project estimates.
Review government regulations and ordinances related to civil engineering projects.
Ensure safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance are optimized and monitored.
Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies to ensure the success of each project.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, with familiarity in water/sewer systems, Miami-Dade infrastructure, and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (pipe networks, grading) is highly preferred.
Knowledge of construction documents, regulatory standards, and project management.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work collaboratively and lead teams.
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment and manage time effectively.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with Miami-Dade County’s water and sewer regulations, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, and the Florida Department of Transportation’s processes.
Strong business development and team-building capabilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
Ability to work independently and flexibly while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment:

Hybrid work environment offering flexibility.
Required to visit project sites using a personal vehicle.
Attend meetings with local agencies and make submittals to Cities and Counties.
