The Pay

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $115,000 and $150,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.

What you will Do
Design mechanical assemblies for R&D hardware, harnessing, sensors and computers for a harsh outdoor environment
Design electrical assemblies for R&D including harnessing for power, sensing and networking
Work with contract manufacturers to speed development as required
Work with engineering, product and field teams to understand requirements and support hardware in the field
Hands on support with hardware integration in shop and in field as required
Design sensor layout and field of view and work with engineering and product stakeholders stakeholders to meet requirements
Bringup and initial troubleshooting of systems in shop and in field as required
Occasional travel to grower sites to troubleshoot and upgrade systems, as required
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience
Experience with small interdisciplinary teams
Experience with modern MCAD and ECAD tools
 Experience with basic electromechanical assembly processes and procedures
Experience with Linux, python and C for scripting and troubleshooting mobile robots
Experience working with shop tools to build / modify hardware
Experience with basic electrical test equipment to troubleshoot hardware
