Role Summary

The Senior DevOps at Founders Workshop helps clients bring their visions to life. They leverage technological skills while working with the project team to create innovative software. This role requires strong attention to the “bigger picture” as well as attention to the “fine details”. The Senior DevOps Team Member balances cost, quality, and the need to move quickly.

What you’ll do

  • Design and manage containerized application deployments on Amazon ECS (Fargate & EC2).
  • Automate front-end CI/CD workflows using AWS Amplify, including environment management and custom domains.
  • Administer Amazon RDS databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) with backup, monitoring, and security best practices.
  • Build secure VPC architectures with subnetting, routing, NATs, and network ACLs.
  • Develop and deploy AWS Lambda functions with event-driven triggers and IaC (CDK, SAM, or Terraform).
  • Manage Route 53 for DNS routing, health checks, and multi-environment domain configurations.

Who you are

DevOps with

  • +3+ years of AWS DevOps experience with a strong focus on infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Deep knowledge of monitoring (CloudWatch, X-Ray), logging, and cost optimization in AWS.
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js.
  • Detailed oriented: Ensures that every aspect of the development is of high quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, enhancing the usability and security of the final product.
  • Based in Latin America (LATAM) to align with our team’s time zone and collaboration needs.
  • Proficient in conversational English (B2 to C1 level)
  • Adaptable: You are quick to adjust to new challenges and changes in project requirements, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Reliable Communicator: Your proactive and clear communication style ensures that all stakeholders are informed and engaged. You're meticulous in your work, always aiming to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Extra Points if you have:
    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect.
    • Experience in multi-account or multi-region AWS setups.
    • Exposure to frontend frameworks integrated with Amplify (e.g., React, Next.js).
