Job Overview
Evo Logistics has immediate job openings for Truck Drivers - Class A CDL.

Duties include to safely and efficiently follow the assigned route schedule, to operate a tractor/trailer, to make local deliveries (up to 130-mile radius) and pick up from local sites (up to 130-mile radius) of predominantly seafood and produce to our warehouse distribution site and customer locations. Obtains proper authorization for all deliveries/pick-ups. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor. Must ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation (DOT) checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner. Assist with loading and unloading, if necessary. Our drivers return home daily.

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Operating trucks requiring a Class A CDL license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, or backing into docks and confined spaces, etc.)
  • Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (e.g., highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Forklift experience
  • Seafood and Produce experience (preferably)
  • Spanish - Bilingual preferably
  • Must have a safe driving record
  • Be able to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 75 LBS. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job.
  • A background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
  • Good communication and customer service skills
