Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Manager to oversee the strategic operations and performance of our critical third-party logistics provider network. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet our high standards across key areas such as operational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, network integration, escalation processes, and provider relationship management. The position requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities.

Network Integration

Establish continuous and successful bi-directional exchange of support with internal senior network management, acting as a development motor
Demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate and align the 3PL site with the broader Amazon fulfillment network and supporting functions

Escalation

Proactively identify and escalate critical issues, utilizing effective communication and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive timely resolution
Autonomously author comprehensive escalation reports and successfully participate in senior leadership calls

3P Key Accounting & Vendor Relationship Management

Basic Qualifications

4+ years in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of progression
Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM, Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Administration
Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in driving operational excellence and continuous process improvements
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Clear communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities
Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting complex performance metrics
Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Proven experience in negotiation, contract management, and influencing provider behavior
